NPA has awarded Sirhimman Associates Ltd. In Association with CDR BV the Consultancy Services for Shore Protection between Berth 12 and the Integrated Oil Depot at Tin-Can Island Port Project.
The main problem to address was the siltation of the secondary channel near the western corner of Tin Can Island (to the west of the expressway bridge) around Berth 11 and 12 (the Grimaldy Jetty).
In order to make an assessment of the siltation problem and determining the next steps in finding a solution a field campaign and data collection has been carried out by CDR and Svašek. All data have been analysed, reported, and presented with recommendations to NPA.
