CDR carried out the following studies for the design of the offshore breakwater (in order of priority):
- Verification and optimization of the applied stone gradings with respect to the stability of the design, including update of the typical cross-section design;
- Assessment of return flows through gaps and the risk of scour at the breakwater heads;
- Assessment of water exchange capability of the formed basin;
- Assessment of wave penetration in the basin.
